Should Jason Garrett Be Fired? By Jr The Sportsman

When Jerry Jones hired Jason Garrett the media and sports writers hyped it up like Jason Garret would most likely be a great coach and leader to win big in the NFL. In my opinion I never felt that this former quarterback and whom was a backup to Troy Aikman was nothing special. The Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees are the most recognizable teams in the world. Owners play a critical part in their franchise winning and losing. This historic football team, having won multiple championships wants to add to their past glory once again. Just check out his total win lost records. key stats  For eight years under Jason Garret this team has been mediocre and undisciplined. In 2014 and 2016 those were very good years. The bottom line is this team was never going to the Super Bowl under Jason Garret. Their biggest problem is not just the staff but the ego of Jerry Jones. I wish he would retire soon and give his management an opportunity to operate this team, instead intimidating others with his dominating presence. I believe Jason will eventually get fired or resign at some point. He is nothing but a puppet and part of the good boy system. Fans don’t care about injuries or excuses every NFL team has injured players and issues.
On Thanksgiving Day, the Cowboys played an embarrassing game losing to the LA Chargers 28-6. Ezekiel Elliot six game suspension hurts I could imagine but what I don’t understand is why didn’t he just take the punishment at the beginning of the season. There is no excuse to fall off this bad going from 13 wins a season ago and playing like one of the worst teams in the league lately. This goes to show you that Ezekiel is the best player on the Dallas Cowboy’s roster. They finally scored some touchdowns blowing out the Washington Redskins 38 -14 and the New York Giants 30-10. Their record is now 7 and 6 with a chance to still make the playoffs. How many chances should a trash coach get? even if this Cowboy team play in the post season they will not do nothing. Dak Prescott has had an up and down season, but he did play very well in his last game, people he will be just fine. This team is built to contend for a Super Bowl even with a soft defense, but more good defensive players are needed to be drafted. They just need to hire a new head coach and make some major changes if they want to win a Super Bowl in the near future.

  1. Jacquez says:

Yea the only way I see jason Garrett leaving the cowboys is if he resign because it doesn’t seem like jerry Jones is getting rid of him no time soon, but it would be nice to see some sort of change in dallas, they just need a whole culture change right now

  2. Arls says:

Of course Jason needs to be fired. What has he done to keep his job?

  3. Jean Cucchi says:

I can’t make a definitive opinion on Garrett because quite possibly he could be a great coach if Jones would just get out of the way. Elliott’s return will give the Cowboys a boost….. but not enough to win Super Bowl!

  4. Marc says:

This is a tough one. I’m not so much a Cowboys fan as I am a Dak / Zeke fan. I’m not sure if having a new head coach would help them at this time. I haven’t seen anything in Garrett’s decision making that would make me question his fitness as head coach. There have been key injuries on both sides of the ball and of course not having Zeke has put a lot more pressure on Dak. If the Cowboys were my number one team I don’t think I’d be calling for Garrett’s head just now. If they stay healthy next year and don’t go anywhere then maybe. But then who would you get to replace him ?

Marc I just feel that Jason Garrett will hold this team back. They have key players in place but they need some impact players on defense. Thank you for your comment.

  5. Rodney says:

Jr Bruh, these have been my sentiments for a long time. Some fans don’t understand but no one else would’ve every gotten thus much time with this much talent without winning something.

  6. Donald Hodge says:

I don’t think he should be fired. Who do you get to replace him if you do to handle this dysfunctional franchise? I say if you can’t get Urban Meyer, Jim Harbough, John Gruden or a big name coach, you keep him there
